Before Tarot by Pietro Alligo and Floreana Nativo, Art by Eon & Simona Rossi,

After the great success of the Tarot of the New Vision and the After Tarot, the trilogy closes with the Before Tarot. The traditional images are here seen a few moments "before". Each Arcana reveals a new aspect that leads us to a greater understanding of the cards, adding the temporal dimension to what we already know.

You can see a full flickthrough on Tiktok. I posted an interview spread on the blog.

Wednesday Spread: Interview spread, Before Tarot

Happy Wednesday, all! Welcome to the Wednesday Spread. This week we're interviewing the Before Tarot. The Before Tarot is a deck that shows us what was happening a few moments before the scene we're familiar with from the RWS deck; it shines new light on a lot of the scenes and alters the meaning in subtle ways. Paired with the After Tarot, which shows us the moments after, it can be a really powerful tool for introspection.

To highlight the differences, I’ve included the original RWS versions alongside the Before Tarot cards—so you can see exactly what’s changed, and how those changes affect the mood or meaning.

Let's start the interview and see what this deck wants to tell us!

Deck Review: Total Tarot's Egyptian Tarot

Made in tempera on papyrus, these cards are partly inspired by the Tarot devised by the famous occultist Jean-Baptiste Pitois in 1870. According to Pitois, the Tarot descended from the legendary Book of Thoth, a work of wisdom that supposedly guarded all the mysteries of Egyptian magic.

You can see the complete flickthrough on TikTok. I also posted an interview spread. See the video version of this review on Tiktok or youtube.

Deck Review: Total Tarot's Fairy Tarot by Pietro Alligo & Antonio Lupatelli

Distant relatives of the Gnomes, the Fairies are very jokers and often make heavy jokes. But Fairies also like to help humans, with very practical ways, like these cards.

The Fairy Tarot is therefore enchanted: it allows you to face reality with a positive attitude, it helps to play down every worry and to overcome difficulties in a light and detached way.

You can see the flickthrough on Tiktok. I also did a deck interview spread.
