Deck Review: Mini Tarot

• Includes 78 full-color, gilt-edged cards featuring new interpretations of Pamela C. Smith’s iconic images

• The accompanying booklet presents a more intuitive interpretation approach by offering quick access to each card’s meaning through fundamental keywords

• Features a travel case with a magnetic closure that allows for easy handling and enhanced portability of this mini deck

Accessible to beginners and initiated alike, this new mini Tarot deck inspired by the style of the well-loved Rider Waite Smith Tarot offers a new interpretation of Pamela C. Smith’s iconic images by French illustrator Nicolas Galkowski.

Complemented by a 104-page booklet, the 78-card full-color deck features a novel approach to Tarot interpretation by offering the fundamental concepts of the cards in a way that combines tradition and intuition. Each card of both the Major and Minor Arcana is featured with three or four keywords and a few sentences that highlight the main aspects and meanings of the card. These brief yet evocative definitions, alongside original card spreads, enable you to arrive at an interpretation both personal and unique by allowing the space between the words to fill with your own inner knowing and insight into the issues and questions at hand. This accessible approach to the Tarot empowers you to dive deeper into personal development and open yourself to intuitive ways of perceiving and interpreting the world, as well as providing a path for engaging with other, more complex divination tools.

The smaller-sized, gilt-edged cards make for smooth handling while the sturdy case with magnetic closure will serve as an attractive ritual item on any altar as well as making this mini deck a perfect traveling companion.

You can see the unboxing on tiktok or youtube and the complete flickthrough is on youtube. I also did two spreads, the interview spread and a five card spread designed for the deck. You can watch the video review on tiktok or youtube.

Wednesday spread; Five card spread, Mini Tarot deck

Welcome to the Wednesday spread! This spread comes from the LWB for this deck, so hopefully it will give us some good insight. I'm interpreting this blind - writing up each card before turning the next - and not thinking of any particular situation, so we'll see what comes out!

Deck Review: Inner Child Cards by Isha Lerner and Mark Lerner and Christopher Guilfoil

A new and updated edition of the popular tarot deck that reawakens the child in all of us.

• Uses the important archetypes of childhood fairy tales to awaken emotional memory and heal the child within.

• Excellent for dream work, the recovery process, and use with children.

Inner Child Cards is a tarot system that helps us interact with the world's most potent archetypes. The authors assign an archetypal childhood story to each image in the traditional tarot deck. Cinderella aligns with the Moon card, traditionally associated with the power of dreams and visions. Sleeping Beauty parallels the Death card with its theme of personal metamorphosis. Little Red Cap stands in for the Fool (the innocent).

Before the Age of Reason higher learning was transmitted through archetypal characters in stories and fairy tales. In modern times these all-important stories have been relegated to a secondary position, with no recognition of their deeper meaning. The whimsical art and familiar characters of the Inner Child Cards will awaken dormant emotional memory that has been trapped in long-forgotten childhood stories. Tarot has always had an uncanny capacity to act as a "hall of mirrors" reflecting the true trajectory of life. By referencing fairy-tale archetypes, Inner Child Cards gives adults an especially clear reflection of the child within and imaginative access to the soul's own personal truth. And because of their playful nature, these cards are equally well suited for use with children.

This deck is published by Bear & Co.
