Welcome to Issue 6! With this issue we received the Majors for the Harmonious Tarot, as well as the Golden Art Nouveau Two of Cups. The mags are settling into a nice layout now, after shifting around a bit at the start; it's lovely to know a bit what to expect. Incidentally, they apparently did consider doing the magazines tear-and-file style - where you separate the pages and refile them to keep similar sections together - but it wouldn't have been cost effective for us consumers. So I'm glad they kept them this way!
Reading the Tarot in this issue focuses on Intuitive Reading, a technique where instead of learning off meanings, the Reader simply studies the images on the card and assigns them a meaning. It's a deeply personal style, and it can produce widely divergent readings, even of the same card on different days! The illustrations here are from the Golden Art Nouveau, with one inset from the Fey Tarot Deck.Card in Detail has skipped to the second section, and today features the Hierophant. This is one of the cards that's often completely reimagined in more modern decks, as the classic image is heavy in Christian imagery.
The Tarot Deck Library features the Harmonious Tarot which we started to receive with this issue. This is a very gentle, Victorian style deck, with pastel colours, lots of flowers and plants, old fashioned costumes. The article features key words for every card in the deck, including the Minors we haven't got yet, and a history of how the deck came to be.
The Tarot Spread is the Universal Vision, a spread designed specifically for groups to read together as a bonding experience. The illustrations are from the Golden Art Nouveau and, as always, the explanations are clear and easy to follow.
Then we have the Visual Reference for the Harmonious majors - I love seeing them all laid out like this! It's so nice to see them collectively.
Finally, the Glossary covers N through Q (there's only one word in Q!) and we're almost completely through the alphabet already!
