This version, simply titled Patch Tarot, unites everything that has come before into one complete and traditional 78-card deck — blending the timeless wisdom of the Tarot with the colorful, living spirit of the Spiritverse. It’s a harmonious fusion of the classic Thoth and Rider–Waite–Smith systems, expanded through the lenses of Qabalah, alchemy, and astrology — and brought to life through the artistry of Patchman.
Designed for both new readers and seasoned seekers alike, this edition of Patch Tarot is the culmination of years of refinement — a deck made to illuminate the path of the modern alchemical scholar.

First Impressions
- The bright colours catch the eye
- The expressionless characters are surprisingly easy to empathise with, creating emotional resonance despite the simplified, cartoon-inspired art style.
- The artwork is RWS-adjacent and easy to read at first glance, but the deck layers in Qabalah, astrology and alchemical symbolism for readers who want to explore further.
First Draw
The first card I pulled, amusingly, was the Eight of Coins/Pentacles. This is a deck that will reward patient study and work, one where my understanding will deepen as I work with it. The keywords of 'effort' and 'negligence' fit the meaning as I understand it beautifully.
Closing Thoughts
This is a deck that looks simple on first glance but reveals its layers as I work with it. Despite its bright, cartoon-inspired artwork, it feels surprisingly emotionally grounded, and I've found the symbolic elements enhance rather than obscure the meanings.
I'm really looking forward to getting to know it and learning more about tarot by working with it.
