Happy Wednesday, all! Welcome to the Wednesday spread. This week we're tackling a spread from the guidebook for the Wings & Crowns deck, a deck celebrating romantasy. This three card spread looks at a current situation as if it were a story, and from our interview spread we know this deck is very well suited for stories! Let's dig in.
The heart of the matter: The Hermit (The solitary wolf)The Hermit represents solitude - not loneliness, but deliberately chosen solitude for reflection and study. You've been withdrawn lately, focused on yourself and your own wellbeing.
The obstacle or central conflict: The Magician (The Resourceful Regent)
The Magician causes things to happen. She is the catalyst for a new situation. In this case, she's the call to action, the reminder that the Hermit isn't a permanent state of being; she's here to propel you on to the next stage of being.
How the story ends: Page of Letters (Cups)
The next stage of your being needs clear and honest communication. Take your time, get things clear and then communicate openly. That's where the story really starts.
Interesting read! This would be a great opening to a novel, the old hermit summoned back to undertake one more mission...wonder where I've heard that one before?
