Wednesday Spread: Interview Spread, Princess Bride deck

Hi all, welcome to the Wednesday Spread! This week we're doing the interview spread, with a twist; this version comes from the LWB for the deck, and you know I always love using a deck's own spread if I can. So let's dive in and see how this works!

What does the deck want me to know about it? VIII of Wands

This deck has energy! It's excited to get to work with me and I should dive straight in and start using it. While I usually take my time with a new deck, working up from daily cards to full spreads, this deck is ready for the hard work straight away.

What type of readings will be most effective with this deck?
The Star

The Star suggests I should approach this deck in a positive frame of mind. It's not here for wallowing or doom-spiralling; it works best when I'm looking for hope, guidance, and a way forward.

What type of questions might this deck have trouble with?
 X of Florins (Pentacles)

The Ten of Pentacles signals the end of a cycle; things are over and done with, the next thing is starting. This deck may struggle with questions that assume the story is already finished. I should phrase things in an open way and leave room for the adventure.

What is this deck here to teach me?
The Sun

It's here to teach me to look on the bright side! Like the questions it prefers, this deck enjoys the lighter side of life and will teach me to enjoy it too.

What mindset do I need to embrace to best work with this deck?
Knight of Swords

I need to stop hesitating and go for it! As we learned above this deck doesn't ease into things - it goes at full speed. Working with this deck, I'll learn how to go for things as well.

Where does this deck see us going together?
VIII of Florins (Pentacles)

This deck sees us learning and growing together. It might take time, but if we're both patient and faithful, we'll get there in the end.

Two Majors, two Pentacles, a Wand and a Sword! This is a very forthright, action-oriented deck. It’s not here for hesitation or endless analysis - it wants me to dive in, make my move, and learn as I go.
