Happy Wednesday, all! Today we're trying a spread from the LWB for this deck - I always enjoy trying a spread that was written for the deck, and the start of the year feels like a good time to try a self care spread! This is a four card spread and seems reasonably simple.
1. Stalking - what are you stalking right now?
The Hermit
This cat has found a space to rest - a comfy clearing, a soft mat to lie on, a lantern nearby to light the space. You don't need to physically retreat, but rest is always a good idea, especially this time of year as we come down from Christmas and all the business of the season.
2. Pounce - what new things should you pounce on?
The Star
A cat lounges by a lake, watching the fish swim just under the surface. She hasn't caught any yet, but that doesn't stop her hoping. The Star symbolises hope, especially after a dark period. Whatever it is that gives you hope, chase after it and hold onto it.
3. Knock off the table - what should I remove from my life?
Queen of Dandelions
This Queen is in complete control, sitting in her throne and looking straight ahead! Not at us - we don't matter - but to her subjects and lands. She does exactly what she needs to, no more, no less. We should try to stay measured and plan our efforts, stop giving more effort than is necessary.
4. Cat nap - what should I let rest and come back to later?
Ten of Dandelions
This kitty is so occupied by his thoughts that he's missed the dandelion seeds dancing above him. Stop overthinking! Our worries will be there later. Just for a little while, put them down and see what life is like without them.
