Just when I thought my tarot shelf couldn’t get any creepier, three mini decks crawled in from the shadows. They’re small enough to fit in your palm, but don’t let that fool you - the chills are full-sized.
Over the next few weeks I’ll be exploring three horror-themed Tiny Tarot decks, each with its own brand of spooky charm. Think of this as the trailer before the main feature - a first glimpse before I dive into full overviews of each one.
🩸 Supernatural Tiny Tarot
You know me - I already own the full-sized Supernatural Tarot, so this mini version has a lot to live up to. How do the cards hold up when shrunk down? Does the detail (and that Winchester grit) survive the scale change? I’ll be looking closely at how it compares to its big sibling - and whether the hunters still pack a punch.
🔪 Horror Tiny Tarot
Here’s where things get interesting. Is this deck a straight-up homage to classic horror tropes, or is it sneaking in specific characters and scenes? I’m itching to see how far it leans into the genre - are we talking gothic atmosphere, slasher cinema, or full-on monster mash? Either way, it’s looking like a bloodstained love letter to the horror canon.
🎃 The Nightmare Before Christmas Tiny Tarot
Confession time: I’ve never seen The Nightmare Before Christmas. (Yes, yes, I know - revoke my spooky-season card.) Which makes this deck a fascinating experiment. It’s my first fandom deck from outside the fandom - so how well does it function purely as a tarot? And when I do finally meet Jack Skellington and friends, will that change my perspective? Time - and a few draws - will tell.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll post individual first impressions of each deck, complete with photos, card feel, and usability notes. You’ll find all those links added back here as they go live, so this post becomes your one-stop hub for all things tiny and terrifying.
So grab a blanket, light a candle, and prepare for the Mini Horror Marathon - it’s going to be frightfully fun. 🕯️
