Wednesday Spread: The Storyteller's Tarot, interview spread

Welcome to the Wednesday spread, all! It's a new deck, so we're back to the interview spread. This fortnight we're working with The Storyteller's Tarot, a deck based on myths and legends from around the world. As always, I don't know who originally created this spread but I would love to know if it was you!

Tell me about yourself: The Hanged Man

The Hanged Man looks at things from a different perspective. He's the card you want to see when you're stuck on something; he thinks outside the box. You will teach me to look at things from a different perspective and see more deeply into issues.

What are your strengths as a deck? Ten of Scepters

You can handle a lot! You can stand up under a lot of weight. I can work with you to delve deeply into myself, my personality, without worrying about whether you can take it or not.

What are your limits? Four of Spikes

On the other hand, when you needs a rest, you will take one no matter what I think about it. I'll have to learn when you're ready to work and when you need to take things easy.

What are you here to teach me? King of Scepters

The King of Scepters is a confident leader, one who works hard to protect and uplift his people. You will teach me to have more confidence in myself and to help lead other people.

How can I best learn and collaborate with you? Six of Scepters

I should enjoy myself working with you! It doesn't have to be serious, it can be fun and easy. Although you're good for deeper issues, we can still do lighter ones as well and have fun doing it.

What is the potential outcome of our relationship? Three of Coins

Three of Coins is about the mentor-mentee relationship. There's plenty we can learn from each other as we work together, and we can enrich each other's lives.

Half the cards in this reading are Scepters, which suggests that this deck will encourage a strong work ethic and a proactive approach. It feels like a signal that I can expect to engage with the deck on dynamic and passionate topics, making our sessions both productive and inspiring. The earthy Coin and logical Spike tell me this deck won't be overly emotional; it will say things as they are without trying to sugarcoat anything.
