Happy Wednesday, all! Today we're interviewing a deck that just might be my favourite of the year. The Witch's Cat Tarot from Watkins Publishing may look cute and fluffy, but there's a lot of depth in these cards.
Three paws each add something to a pot plant - one puts in soil, one puts in seeds and the third adds a magic sparkle. Working together, they achieve amazing things. You can't do anything on your own; you need to work with a reader to achieve fantastic things.
What are your strengths as a deck? Five of Paws
Two kittens pout over their failed pots, while a third celebrates their blooming flower. It's easy to feel left out in comparison to others, but you'll be able to show me how to find the bright side of any situation.
What are your limits? Cave Cat (Hermit)
A sombre, older cat holds up a lantern, lighting the way to knowledge. We all need some time away now and then! If you don't seem to be giving me good answers, I shouldn't push - we can take a break and try again later on.
What are you here to teach me? Cosmic Cat (Star)
A happy kitten rests in a cloud, reaching for nearby stars to play with. You're here to teach me that hope always returns, even when it seems it can't possibly. I just need some patience.
How can I best learn and collaborate with you? Sacred Cat (Hierophant)
A smiling mentor guides two young kittens, showing them the keys of knowledge. I can best learn by accepting that you are the teacher and keeping an open mind towards your lessons.
What is the potential outcome of our relationship? Apprentice of Claws (Page of Swords)
A smiling kitten leans over a cauldron. It's full of spooky things - a spider web, a skull, a potion - but the results are two beautiful golden feathers. You'll show me that sometimes uncertain things can lead to wonderful outcomes.
There are three Majors here! This deck really wants me to hear it. There are no Wands or Cups - this isn't the deck for a quick on the run reading, reinforcing my thought above about the depth of this deck. It's going to really push me to look deeper!
